The Riviera Romagnola runs along the sandy beaches of the Adriatic for about 70 miles, from Cattolica in the south, to the Po delta on the border with Veneto. It’s nice to start from Ravenna, once the capital of the Western Roman Empire, today a sleepy provincial town with eight UNESCO World Heritage sites of exceptional Byzantine mosaics.
